beneficial so far. Alhamdulillah ABM Productions was brought to you with
the grace of Allah Ta’ala. Without His will, this site would have never
come into existence. It is by the mercy of Allah Ta’ala, that He
granted us the ability to make this site possible.
ABM
Productions (Al-Bayani Media Productions) is a non-profit media
organisation with its offices and studios in Mangochi and
Limbe/Chiradzulu districts in Malawi. Officially launched in April 2007,
ABM Productions focuses primarily on the need to promote the spirit of
watching and listening to Islamic audio-visual products, particularly
among Malawian Muslim community as well as those beyond Malawi's
borders.Since most of the Islamic books and other audio- visual
news files about topics that are of common interest to Muslims are
produced or published mostly in either Arabic or English language, the
majority Malawian Muslims cannot read and understand them. For Muslims
in Malawi to derive the maximum benefit from Islamic books and video
documentaries, there is a need to get some of these books and films
translated into local languages (Chiyao and Chichewa). It is against this background that we
thought it wise that an organisation, that among other duties will be to
translate Arabic and English movies into local languages, had to be
formed. As a result, ABM Productions was formed in the year 2007.
When we founded ABM Productions , our primary aim was to
spread Islamic message for free and not for profit making. However, due
to the high production cost, we were forced to establish an amount just
enough to support the production activities - that is to say we sell our DVDs/VCDs at a subsidised price.
ABM Productions is
something special. It is like a library or a public park. It is like a
temple for the mind. It is a place we can all go to think, to learn, to
share our knowledge with others, so we all can attain Jannah. It is a
unique human project, the first of its kind in Malawi.
ABM
Productions seeks ways in which to promote the free flow of information
and co-operation between Islamic call organisations and other dawah
workers.
The role of ABM Productions is primarily one of a
producer, translator, communicator, and distributor of its products. For
this reason ABM Productions aims to work together with all like-minded
organisations and individuals to Islamise Malawi and its neighbouring
