Since most of the Islamic books and other audio- visual news files
about topics that are of common interest to Muslims are produced or
published mostly in either Arabic or English languages, the majority
of Malawian Muslims cannot read and understand them. For Muslims in Malawi
to derive the maximum benefit from Islamic books and video
documentaries, there is a need to get some of these books and films
translated into local languages (Chiyao and Chichewa).
It
is against this background that we thought it wise that an
organisation, that among other duties will be to translate Arabic and
English movies into local languages, had to be formed. As a result, ABM Productions was formed in the year 2007.
